just so you know Dell wont let you use anything but Dell power supplies... stupid I know but thats how dell makes money. be aware that to upgrade your RAM you need Dell style RAM as well. Newegg.com has a whole section on System compatable RAM

i feel your pain desktop computers went out of style 10 years ago. FYI most desktop computers that are stiull built use odd sized equiptiment. Unless you go into the media pc boxes most horizontal cases cant fit a full size PSU or graphics or PCI cards try one of those premade cube pc's

whats the problem.... it turns on when it is hot right? less noise the better... i wish my processor fan was off sometimes turn off quite and cool setting or whatever intel calls it

usb to ps2 converter...ever hear of one... all my keyboards i have ever bought in the last 5 years have come with one... solves the usb/ps2 problem

take a look at the new dell computers thay all have SATA cabled optical drives... if dell likes them they got to be good...lol

i just bought the silverstone tj09 case and i want to get a good DVDRW drive but only two companies make them (NES & ASUS). i find it a little wierd that only two companies make silver drives when alot of companies make silver cases

is that motherboard you have socket 939? cause if it is just upgrade to a higher amd xhip and doesnt the core 2 duo's run on ddr2 ram.. sorry im an amd fanboy so rarely follow intel products why not save some more money and then buy all new parts

antec sonata is about $100 and is steel and very nice looking... then again atec got a few case to look at... if anything why ask us go on newegg or another site and just look for your self as $100 can get you a really nice case from quite a few companies

Damn that is one old system (1999-2000 right) you definatly need an upgrade new MB (anyone you want, Processor (at least a 1.8Ghz), Power supply (over 300W), Ram (512MB DDR RAM at least), new videocard (nvidia 6200 at least or onboard), can be all had for under $300

you should use DDR2-800, and why do you need 2 DVD burners... use an old dvd or burner if you got one, save som money there. also save some cash and buy one hard drive.. get another later... BTW that mobo has onboard video.. i know it sucks but if you get 2GB of RAM it will be OK for a little...
