Luckily the shop accepted to change tge cx450 to a rmx 550 ... It worked fine with only the 8pin + board pci but didnt want to risk it....

Well it is working with only the 8pin but i didnt test it at heavy loads... Maybe i should undervolt it? And the molex to 6pin solution will be safe?

1080 will fit in your motherboard but its kind of overkill, you will need new PSU too for it i guess and and new monitor if you got a 1080p/60hz one. ( Otherwise your monitor will bottleneck the card) . So imo if you are not going to buy a new monitor( re-if you got a 1080p/60hz one) , the gpu...
