Now I have dual boot XP PRO SP2 and Vista Ultimate x32. Every OS has it's own partition, and there's 1 more partition for storing data. I would like to replace vista with 7 ( leaving xp and data intact ). Can I do it straigtforward or do I have to edit boot loader or perhaps to re-partition...

It was PSU. Just replace power supply and USB's will work fine.
