and yes, the cables you recieve with the parts should be more than enough and will be all you need. stand offs arent difficult to install, here is a link to a very good pc building tutorial and one which I personally used to make my pc a couple months ago...

looks all good to me, only thing to consider would be to add some more storage, maybe a 1tb hard drive as 240gb is pretty low.

if you absolutely must put it on the carpet and theres no alternative, just put somehtying under the case like a flat peice of wood or something thats not flexible.

some software shows the wrong stats, i have an rx 580 8gb and it comes up as 4gb in Superposition for example, but comes up as 8gb in almost everywhere else. like @ChumP said, try gpu-z or another software
