Hello,

Here is my MSI notebook: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154791&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Laptops-_-N82E16834154791&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvoL5g8m73gIVjEoNCh1zcA0xEAQYASABEgL0lvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

It clearly states that it contains a 6GB GTX 1060, but when I played Rise of the Tomb Raider, and put textures on MAX, the game warns me that I need high VRAM to run it and then the game crashes about 20 min in. I am scared b/c I think I got the GTX 1060 3GB and thus got scammed by MSI. Any thoughts or help?

Thanks so much.

some software shows the wrong stats, i have an rx 580 8gb and it comes up as 4gb in Superposition for example, but comes up as 8gb in almost everywhere else. like @ChumP said, try gpu-z or another software

or it is kind of not really possible that you just got a faulty card. even msi does it sometimes. i am inclined to think the game is stupid or you set something wrong somehow rather than that but keep it in mind. also check what EXACT config you got many manufacturers offer both 6gb and 3gb models
