Thanks for all the quick replies. I think ultimately it's come down to my GPU starting to wear out (and perhaps PSU also). It's not imperative that I play the game so i'm going to wait till i build my next comp and run BF4 :)

When BF3 first came out I used to run it well on high graphics with consistent FPS. whether in fights or not my FPS would remain consistent. I took a 5-6+ month break and when i came back i started to have problems running the game. Massive stuttering at first, FPS lag when turning around or...

I just overclocked the CPU from 2.66 to 3.1 It's sustaining it's FPS better but i could still be better based on my hardware.

Oh and i'm running the newest drivers. I know there are newer ones in beta, but i'm not using them.

I just installed an Asus Xonar DS hoping it'd fix a problem i have with ventrilo, TS3, mumble, etc. (which it didn't) But now when i try to start up certain processes such as google chrome or itunes, they simple won't come up. But they will show up in my lists of processes in the task manager...

Lately whenever i open ventrilo now, after about 10-15 minutes of using it it'll random start lagging all my processes. You can hear weird frequency noises when people talk or if a noise is made. It lags EVERYTHING and i have to restart the computer to make it stop. I'm using Windows 7 Pro...

Yeah i've decided to just run on a straight modem and replace the router whenever. Hopefully that'll fix it. Thanks for all your help guys

Yeah i looked all over, it only has the option to unplug the main power connection. I feel like if i replace the router, it'll still give me problems. Just not sure what is And i don't have the manual :/
