You need an i5 and a 2x8 kit of RAM more than you do 4 more gigs of VRAM. Although I think Rust can use up to 6 gigs total on 1080p with the graphics up. Rust eats system memory for breakfast so more ram, more cpu, and if that doesn't see huge gains you have problems elsewhere

Yea i had a similar issue on the Resident Evil Remaster. Some in-game setting had a 60 fps, 30 fps, then "variable" frame cap. Trying to force 60fps at 1080p was getting me 20 fps. Variable let it fluctuate between 42-45 and ran waaaay better.

Late. But, for future reference for other curious minds, the 845 wont handle anything past a GTX 950, 960 will slightly bottleneck depending on the game, but nothing horrendous. If you go with AMD, youve got the R370 and 380. The 380X or RX460 will also be held back slightly depending on the game
