News Asus just made an RTX 5090 with 11 lbs of real gold worth $500,000 — RTX 5090 ROG Astral Gold Edition is the most expensive GPU of all time

I'm not sure what capitalism has to do with this. It's kind of dumb that word just keeps getting thrown around. If someone makes a product and wants to sell it at a price that they want to sell it at then that's all it is. This is not a new concept in the human race. People have been doing this...

News The Commodore 64 Ultimate computer is the company's first hardware release in over 30 years — pre-orders start at $299

Nintendo was/is a console company. Commodore was a computer. Not exactly the same things. Therefore I don't think the goals would be similar.

News Nvidia's new driver update finally brings Smooth Motion to RTX 40-series GPUs, works like AMD's Fluid Motion Frames and claims to double your FPS w...

I don't know why people want these features to work on older hardware. It was tested on the new stuff. Therefore, adding it on the old stuff is just going to take more development time. And it may not work right. People need to be patient and not expect much. If it works, great. If it doesn't...

News Nvidia goes nuclear — company joins Bill Gates in backing TerraPower, a company building nuclear reactors for powering data centers

That's not why electricity prices went up. We should never stop building nuclear reactors. And natural gas is a good alternative to coal but the idiots want to demonize that too. CO2 is not bad for the planet. It never was and never will be. Life depends on co2, oxygen and nitrogen. Without...

News Nvidia goes nuclear — company joins Bill Gates in backing TerraPower, a company building nuclear reactors for powering data centers

Nuclear is good. It was dumb to ramp it down. Government just need to make sure they are built properly and ran properly. They are safe over all.

News Micron seeks reversal of court order to share 73 pages of sensitive data with China's banned YMTC chipmaker — Micron strives to protect IP from Chi...

National security is national security. The Supreme Court should shut this down hopefully. That's how things work in the US. There's checks and balances. And people have other ways of defending themselves rather than have one entity control everything. Did you see what I did there? So I'm...

News After projecting losses of $1.5 billion, AMD CEO Lisa Su calls for a balance between export controls and national security

Yeah, I have no care how AMD or NVIDIA feel. The tariffs are just a power move anyhow. No one will beat out America. Everyone needs us whether they like it or not.

News Intel teases Arc Battlemage professional GPUs for Computex — Variants with 24GB of VRAM alleged

These will probably be too expensive to be gaming cards. And they're not going to be more powerful than what they already have most likely.

News Intel officially cuts Core Ultra 7 200-series desktop CPU prices by up to 25%

Sockets never persuaded me to buy a CPU. When I buy a CPU I always buy a new motherboard and RAM and case. I prefer to use new with new. The only exception is m.2, PSU and GPU if it's good.

News Nvidia RTX 50 GPUs make a small splash in the Steam Survey — AMD RX 9000 GPUs remain absent from the list

This is another excuse even if the data is correct. Tech tubers and journalists were swearing up and down there was virtually no NVIDIA stock. That would increase the advantage of Radeon exponentially. Do sales or demand reflect that? No. People are still waiting on NVIDIA prices to stabilize...

News Tipster claims AMD's RX 9060 XT 8GB is planned to launch at Computex — Dismisses cancellation rumors

8 GB cards exist so that it forces people to buy the 16 GB cards. Just like Amd release the 9070 right next to the 9070 XT which doesn't make any sense at all except to upsell. Nvidia didn't even do that. They at least put some separation between their cards.

News Intel Core Ultra 9 285K performance sees 6% improvement on Linux — Arrow Lake boosts even without new '200S Boost' BIOS

Well this boost doesn't do anything to make it worth buying. Intel needs to drop the price on it by at least 40% for to even consider it. I'm an Intel guy too. The 7800x3d beats it in gaming. That's old now. Intel made a huge mistake by not releasing a 16 pcore only CPU. That could have...

News RTX 4060 is now the top GPU on Newegg despite ludicrous $500 price tag

I can buy a 4060 at suggested retail price. $500? Huh.
