K, I've done the PSU calculator and I need just under 500W? I have a corsair 650W. So it would seem I have a bit of room to install a SSD other fans, etc? A friend of mine just purchased a R9 280x and fried a 700W PSU so I'm kinda paranoid, must have been a crumby PSU then!

Could your PSU ever be your bottleneck without it frying?, would it ever be the cause of slowing down a demanding GPU?

Looking for something that pairs well with my 7970 any suggestions? Is there any factors that come into looking for a decent monitor? I have a LCD HP 20" 60 Hz, wanting to go bigger, price is not a factor but it's always good to save a few dollars on anything right, lol!
