You should be able to format the drive through the Windows installation system from the USB, there will be 'advanced options' or 'format disk' or something on the select partition screen.

No, any SATA HDD will be fine. Go for a 3.5 inch one as they are desktop drives (as opposed to thinner 2.5 inch laptop ones). Try to get a 7200 RPM one as they are faster than 5400 RPM (although a quick look on Amazon US shows that there are very few 7200 RPM 2 TBs available which is strange...

If you've got a SATA port then there is no reason why not. Be aware an old motherboard may not work with high capacity drives, but I believe 3 Tb is the limit there not 2 Tb. You should be fine. Remember a backup isn't a proper backup if it's connected to the same system you're backing up.

Delete all files and reinstall Windows 10 is your best bet.

1) Just go to Disk Management on an existing installation and format it as NTFS. Full wipe :) No truth AFAIK to 'Quick format' but you might as well use that anyway as it is quicker. 2) Again, disk management format as NTFS! Hope that helped :)

What SSD is it? How full is it? How old is it?

For sure i5 and the better GPU. The i5 will handle GTA just fine :)

Unfortunately not, video editing is known to be intensive on the disk and unless you have a very powerful system there will always be lag. Perhaps invest in an SSD, that will improve your experience.

Because you're video editing, disk usage will be high because the software is accessing all of your video files. This is not unusual.

Then yes the results are fine, just what you'd expect.
