I am using prime95 small ffts for thermal testing. After 15 minutes the hottest core hits 71 degrees Celsius. What temp would you consider the maximum safe temperature? Thanks!

If I were to up the frequency and vcore, would the mid to high 70's under prime95 be considered safe?

Happy 2016! I recently acquired an i5 4690k. I tried overclocking it to 4.0 GHz with a vcore of 1.05. My Max temp under prime95 small fft's is 67 degrees Celcius. What is the recommended safe temperature? I'm using a hyper 212 evo for cooling. Thanks!

Monitor your temps and frequency while gaming, make sure your cpu is not thermal throttling.

Turn off speed step, and disable all c-states.
