Like there are three boxs on the wall that say 10/100Mbps 8-port Ethernet Switch and it looks like the are running upstairs. One of the ports is empty.

None and I don't think the wireless router is connected to the modem. A blue cable is connected to a MAC and the others are connected in ports in the wall.

The modem that we have downstairs is a Arris. It is sitting in a little box and the is a hole in the wall where the cables are being run up to where the wireless router is.

So I have a wifi connection but I want to set up a wired connection for my desktop. The problem is that the modem is downstairs and my computer is upstairs. I was wondering if I can set up two modems in one house or something. PS. this is my first time setting anything like this up. Please help.
