it's actually above 20% of overclocking and i just want to be at the limit and be stable and my temps are cold (30c idle - 50c full load) so i just want to be at 3.0 Ghz that will be fine

I was trying to over clock my Core 2 duo 2.33 Ghz (it's outdated i know) the specific model is e6550 so i already overclocked it to 2.7 Ghz but when i go higher the pc goes black screen so i hard shut down it then i get overclocking failed or overvoltage error the maximum i can get is...
Do You Mean By Hardware Monitor The BIOS temps? Or Third-Party Software
and if its a BIOS problem try resetting the BIOS and don't worry the temps on CoreTemp is 98% accurate as i heard so yeah!

so recently i OC'd my core 2 duo e6550
2.33 ghz to 2.59 ghz now i am getting 45 degrees on idle and 85 on gaming and 100% load
so i just want to know if that is safe or too hot and (dangerous)
