I agree with Bignastyid. I just upgraded my system to z270 and the i7-7700k and absolutely love it. I am only running it at 4.6ghz overclocked and games are so much more enjoyable now. Also if you have a z170 board you could possibly just do a bios update and then be able to drop the 7700k...
