so I bought a new budget ssd drive mainly for storage purposes
Kingston NV1 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe
https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-2280-Internal-SNVS-2000G/dp/B091BG4HDW
and I am using it with this enclosure
SABRENT USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE)...
which one is it ? is it the old model with the model name written in green ? either way this series isnt designed to power a high end system with an i9 and rtx 2060 , for the corsair RM series and its variants better suited to that system
why is it problematic though ? I dont reccoment for him using it as he will bypass his sound card and use what is a potentially lower quality dac in his speaker system , but i never heard of problems with toslink before
It would be a downgrade if you go for a sound bar
How about you get a bigger pair of monitors , like the Yamaha HS8 or the JBL 308P MKII , then at least you would have a wider and better frequency response than your current setup and would feel like an improvement
Plus they have much better...
use a tool to draw an RTA graph , will help you decide which option gives the better acoustic for you . KRK audio tools on your phone could work , play a sine sweep 20Hz-20KHz and see which position give you the flattest response possible from your listening position
yes and when excessive pull is applied in the horizontal direction (which is mainly what was happening with ur cable , the 1/8 will just pop out of the socket
why not use a 90 degree adapter at the 1/4 TRS end ?

yeah thats the problem only brief user reviews doesnt giver alot of indication about reliability or how it performs in day to day basis like Gsync and waking up from sleep
there are adapters like this one
https://www.amazon.com/Club-3D-DisplayPort1-4-Adapter-CAC-1085/dp/B08BX49V5V
Problem is i dont see any reliable reviews for it for how well they work
