You should definitely conside 5570, or if your case can accomodate, a 5670

If you have the extra money, I would definitely recommend 7970. AMD driver support is not that bad and we are the new ones are pretty good.

You won't see significant performance boost in modern titles. If you can't afford more get a i3 2100 instead of i5 2500K and save the money for a good GPU like 6750 or 450 or 6770

I agree that if you are a gamer, a serious one, then Sandy Bridge i3 is only left behind by its i5 siblings, when it comes to gaming. Get the i3 rig.

Neither of those cards can play Crysis at Max. with AA. The thing is to lower some settings, not much and you'll be able to get good frame rates out of 580 or 6970. 580 is expensive but performs 10% better at 2560x1200 Regards...
