I am thinking of getting an SSD, currently running 7200 500 gig.. both would be 6Gbs sata.
Motherboard has intel rapid storage tech capabilities and 6gb sata ect.. (z68)
I want to use the SSD for mostly everything, some files I'd like to store to the 500gig, such as music and videos and maybe...
but still, should I be seeing these mid 40c temps when other people are claiming they have 24c average and some say idle is in the teens??
Is it possible that the CPU is bad?
case has 7 fans, using my old case.. the air flow is very good. the air is colder than the room temp on the exhaust.. everything in the case is ~60F house is about 68, but the CPU temps all say its about ~45c.
I was mentioning the cooling difference in proposition of faulty CPU.
Just seems odd...
So you think 120g would be enough? I would have a raid with a hhd for pure storage maybe music and video like I said.
What about corsairs new drive (might not be corsair :/, some company similar) supposed to be priced around $220 and spec higher than the ocz drives.. anyone know?
Posted a little over a week ago about reboot / dead / bluescreen issues, new mobo fixed most of it.. RMA'd RAM now. But whilst figuring out what else was bad, I was looking at my temps in BIOS and heres what I found:
Intel i7 2600k (from cold boot - no run time)
Stock cooler (Old mobo) - BIOS...
I am thinking of getting a ssd, something that will last (high quality and good specs). My old build had a 200 gig 7200 rpm, through about 6 years of use I only used about 110gigs of that (WinXP32).
How much space would I need realistically with a SSD with 7 64? I would most likely move my...
Computer hardware is rated for ~450 watt minimum, so 650 gives me much breathing room. Processor looks good, ect..
Would these issues be caused by 'bad cores' or something of the sort?
Plus, in regards to the PSU, I'd think bluescreens and random freezes / ports disabling, ect wouldn't be from...
That really doesn't get me anywhere, thanks though.. I am 98% sure it was the mobo causing the issues. When I placed my order on the mobo, it was rated 4/5 with 1 one star review, I checked it the night I was having issues and it had risen to 21 one star reviews. Tons of issues with the board...
Just got a new build; 2600k, Corsair 8g DDR3, 650 Watt psu, EVGA 465, WD 500gig 7200 RPM, and p8p67 motherboard.
Description: Built and booted fine, installed windows 7 64. After roughly 3 hours of runtime, crashed after a bluescreen. No event viewer notes. Continued to restart randomly...
