I wish. Intel is greedy and they will never make intercompatible CPU generations again. They changed it just to earn more money. In short ,no ,it is not compatible and you will need a 8th gen mobo.

So i had Evga 500b and that PSU smelt horribly for like half a year. I got a new one ,same model and now it smells again. I had new one for 2 days and smell is NOT of burning type. Will the smell go away?
