Seems like you didn't read the question. What would be the point of replacing CPU cooler or re-applying thermal paster if I won't even be able to check temperature the CPU is afterwards?

Thanks. cpu temp is around 40 degrees while idle and 70 degrees during gaming.

I haven't figured out how to monitor temperatures for my CPU yet but once I do i will report back. Would high temperatures throttle the CPU? i figured the PC would shut off by that point. PSU is 800 watts. MSI 970A-G46

When i go to the command prompt it says X:\Sources> And when i type chkdsk /f it says "This type of the file system is NTFS. Cannot lock current drive Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected."
