My SSD is completely fine, it shows up in the Windows disk menu when I try to install windows off of my disk. It won't let me write over it though. So I assume this is a problem with my motherboard? And will it require a new one? Thanks for your time

Just to add I also have experienced black screen crashes that result in no display, usually after a while when my pc has been on and reawakes from its sleep. I have to do a huge upgrade if I need a new mobo cause im on 1155 atm

It honestly depends on what games you want to run, that i5 750 is going to bottleneck nearly all newer titles with a graphics card better than the 560ti. I'd say stick with what you've got until you can upgrade everything.
