I am new to over clocking and my biggest concern is voltage, is a static unadaptive voltage bad for a CPU. Such as putting 1.2v to get 4.4 stable but still at 1.2v when idling at 800mhz. So is the 1.2v bad for 24/7? Note: I've tried using offsets and in order to get stable it wants to use too...

When I OC I use a combination of Aida64, CPU-Z, and Open Hardware Monitor. I'm running an i5 4670k @ 4.4Ghz at stock voltage(1.2v), so it OC's well. What I want to know is what temperature sensor should I get my most accurate temps from, each single cores reported temp, or the CPU Package...

well the reason being that the house is warmer in the winter is bc the heat is running full blast all day at about 75 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 24-26c or so, then during the summer my A/C is running at a constant of about 72 fahrenheit, so the air in my house is actually cooler during the summer

I think we may have gotten ours from a similar batch cuz i can run 4.5 @ 1.2v no issues at all, but I'm using and H80i so my at load temps are like 54c, could pull of 4.6-4.7 maybe but the voltage jump to get there is too 1.28v though

Wow exact same settings for me too, i cant get 4.6 stable on less than 1.28. I usually run 4.4ghz at 1.2v, right now im at 4.2ghz at 1.13v which with the auto offsets goes up to 1.15v roughly(but only in stress testing, so it hangs at 1.13v all other times, 1.10v was almost stable there.) I get...

Unfortunately yes, 1.27v for 4.1Ghz is pretty bad. The quality and behavior of these chips is luck of the draw. My i5 4670k at 4.4Ghz is stable at 1.2v, well technically its at 1.212 at full load if you add the offset.

I have an i5 4670k overclocked to 4.2ghz paired with an corsair h80i which cools it very well, but i always have one core that's warmer than the other 3, my friends say this is normal, and theirs do the same. Can anyone confirm this for me? The core that runs warmer runs about 3 to 5c warmer.

I want to know if it is possible to buy another set of the exact same ram and change it to 16gb quad channel memory? Can i do this.
