My friend who has my old hand me down 1060 3gb and a ryzen 5 2600 gets more fps than me in these games.

It's not a 1600x just an old 1600. I am having many issues, rust on minimum graphics struggles to push 60 fps with a rtx 2070 and also escape from tarkov is around 40 fps. New games like forza horizon five rin fine 100 fps+ on ultra settings.

In Australia, If I sell the 8700k it will probably sell for around 250-280 aud, and a brand new 11400f is $260. But that would mean i would not have to go through the hassle of selling everything. I would do that but if the performance is not heaps different is it worth it?

How much of an fps increase do you think I would get from going from a 1600 to a 3300x or a 3600?

I have bought a 2070 and am planning on running it with a corsair TX550M gold. On my last gpu it only required a 6 pin cable. On the psu it says 6+2 PCIe and that wire has 2 6+2 pins split, can I run the gpu from the one psu port to the split 6+2 connectors to the graphics card?
