@Hang-the-9 Power wouldn't go on at all. I messed with it a lot last night and found out that it was the power supply. I swapped it with one I had in a computer with blown capacitors. It's working great now! There is an amber light in the front now, below the green light by the power switch...

I removed all external cables, and disconnected all power cables inside the computer. Plugged power cord back in, green light solid. Then, one at a time, reconnected each power cable inside. Green light started flashing again when I got to the ATXPWR1. Can someone tell me what this means...

I just inherited this Alienware M9700. It works great, except for the sound. I'm not sure if it has a sound card or not, what is the best way to figure this out? It's still on xp, I'm going to upgrade to 7 soon, but until then I would like to have sound. I have wireless internet connection...
