Experimental Unity Editor Arrives On Linux

Downloaded and works amazingly well on Ubuntu! I can't seem to get Monodevelop to open though, and there are a few UI window bugs were things disappear. This is on Intel+Nvidia hardware. Anyone else on Intel iGPU or AMD GPU on Linux trying it out? Works ok or not so much? I'm curious.

    Crytek's Homefront Sequel Revealed

In the past, Crytek's CryEngine PC support meant Windows only. I honestly thought it was important to note, but you have made it doubly clear it wasn't. Thus, it wasn't important to anyone but me. You have made your point.

    Crytek's Homefront Sequel Revealed

I would have figured that this would be something major, as it would mean Crytek are officially supporting and using their own Linux and Mac export functionality in their engine for their own projects. I apologize, I guess it wasn't important to anyone in the end.

    Crytek's Homefront Sequel Revealed

Did you just purposefully omit Linux and Mac from that statement? It was clear on their site, yet you omit it here. Why? This is very unprofessional. EDIT: I apologize. It would seem no one wants this information written explicitly except me.

Oculus VR Confirms Android Version Coming Next Year

For a guy that thinks Linux isn't the right way for Valve to go, I can't comprehend why Carmack would agree to use Android considering it is Linux.

    Canonical Ubuntu 13.10 Now Available

Already using it on my desktop. Just like 13.04, it's a good release. Smooth and works well with my games in Steam (unlike 12.10, that was a bad release). The most noticeable thing for me is that my Saitek X52 controller works nicely in 13.10, it didn't in 13.04.

Microsoft Goes to Reddit for Windows 8.1 AMA

This! I can't believe it, it's another Microsoft PR disaster. I'm really not sure what they were expecting, but leaving important questions unanswered will only lead to bad assumptions on the consumer's end.

Xi3 Teams Up with Scuf Gaming for Piston Controllers

What's going to happen to the Xi3 Piston if Valve release models of their own steam machine that are lower priced, with higher quality grade components in them? If the prototype specs from Valve are anything to go by, then Xi3 might be in for some real trouble in the near future.

Microsoft Reveals the Next Generation of Xbox: Xbox One

I wonder if the motherboard uses UEFI. Would be interesting if Ubuntu was installed on it and it turns out to be usable as a Steam Box hahaha.

HP to Embed Leap Motion's Gesture Control Technology

The cool thing about the Leap Motion is that the developers are open-minded. They're even working on Linux support, so hopefully this cool piece of hardware can be usable on many platforms. I'm curious whether it will increase productivity or not.

GameStop Named as Backer of $79 GameStick Console

Why would dirty Adobe want to put their hands into this?

Oculus Rift Dev Kits Launching With Custom Unreal Dev Kit

No doubt that the Unreal guys are scared that Unity is taking too many bites out of their developer userbase. I'm not surprised, Unity makes it really easy to support many platforms. Unreal on the other hand, not so much. Albeit, Unreal do have a good arsenal of past games making them shine...

Report: AMD to Drop Trinity APU Prices in April

Oh man that's good news! Now, I really hope it'll trickle down into my country as well. I see all these nice prices in the USA and UK, yet things stay fixed here until a month or so before new hardware versions are released. The only reason prices go down here last minute is because the shop...

BioShock Infinite Coming to Mac... This Summer

I'd like to see it released for Linux as well.

Nvidia Says PS4 Involvement Wasn't Worth the Cost

hagjohnConsidering a lot more games will be AMD (GPU/CPU) optimized, I think Nvidia has it wrong. This doesn't mean the games will be better for AMD hardware. A good example, Saints Row 3 which was in one way or another meant to have been focused more towards AMD hardware. Yet from my personal...
