My Main boot drive is a SSD(samsung evo 860 m.2) though i have a 2TB baracuda hdd. Boot time is around 30s+. Just wanted to ask if the bios reads the hdd upon turning the pc on? therefore exlaining why the boot time is longer than expected?

seems that what you mentioned is really the issue. I just cant seem to get windows to use the manufacturer driver instead for some reason.

I personally believe that there is something wrong with the product/network adapter. The usb is fine as all other usb devices work perfectly and all drivers are updated. The network is also fine. The new adapter and the previous one are the ASUS AC53 Nano & ASUS AC56 respectively
