My Main boot drive is a SSD(samsung evo 860 m.2) though i have a 2TB baracuda hdd. Boot time is around 30s+. Just wanted to ask if the bios reads the hdd upon turning the pc on? therefore exlaining why the boot time is longer than expected?

it can, especially depending on the boot sequence set in your BIOS.
Easiest way to test if your HDD is causing a slow down is to simply disconnect it and boot up.

is your operating system on your ssd or hdd cause that's one long boot time
