The monitor supports 144hz on 1440p, 1080p, 720p and other resolutions...I've tried 144hz at 1080 but it still kicks out and stays at 60hz

Hey guys I have an r9 390 Strix and the monitor is an Acer XG270HU Freesync monitor capable of running refresh rates up to 144hz... The problem is when i set the refresh rate to 144Hz in the settings it flickers then goes back to standard 60hz... I disabled Freesync and GPU scaling and i tried...

Based on the pictures (this is just my theory) it could be that as the computer was writing on to the HDD (system files or registries) something happened to cause that data to be corrupted...The health of the HDD is excellent so it could just be a bad sector...Try to use the chksk command in CMD...

It can be that the sparks could've been a short circuit for the SATA ports causing the HDD's and SSD's you connect to just spark up and smoke. I would suggest to get another Motherboard

The only limitations you have for mITX builds are you only have one PCIe slot for add-on/graphics cards, 2 RAM slots (actually varies depending on manufacturer) and heatsink and sizing limitations (depending on the case)
