Is i5 3450 worth upgrading..?? currently i own a i3 2120, intel DH61HO mobo, r9 270x cx 500 PSU.

Well the only task i need a processor is for gaming. Since my CPU is bottlenecked in current build and games are demanding higher CPU's these days i need to upgrade my CPU. And i think 270x will do the job like for 2 years or so.

but is it wise to buy LGA 1155 chip as they are outdated. and i don't think they are futureproof anymore.

i5-4690k is way over my budget. And customs, and taxes are much higher in India if bought from amazon.com india

My present RIG: i3 2120, r9 270x intel DH61HO mobo 1 7200rpm HDD 1 optical drive 3 120mm LED fans PSU: CX 500. Now i am planning to buy a fx 8320 and a asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard and a CM 212X cooler. So my question is will my PSU be enough to power my rig after upgradation..??
