I've been trying to get two label printers to be shared with another PC and without homegroup and I'm running into an issue. I have the printers set to be shared, however trying to setup the printer through "Add device/printer" or simply accessing it from the "Network" tab on windows explorer...

So this problem is all over the internet but I haven't been able to find anything for the problem a friend of mine is having. That this issue is present in both their old hard drive and a new one. With that in mind the only things that are consistent in the system are pretty much everything...

I'll look into that and/or getting another SSD and just keep personal files on the HDD

The source, is it saying that games should be installed on the SSD or that both Windows AND the games should be installed to see any sort of performance increase?

Is it possible for the HDD that has Windows installed on it to be causing hickups in games that are installed on a separate SSD?

Scratch this, a little bit more digging on icacls I was able to get my name added to all files.

Recently I made a backup of my important documents and reinstalled Windows 7 and then moved them to the new install. Well there seems to be a problem with permissions and I can't access any files. I did a bit of digging and learned about the "Take Ownership" registry file AND the command line...

So I guess maybe I did have a mixture of unrealistic expectations and not a full understanding.

No no scaring is necessary, keeps me from being lazy. Environment isn't warm but I do game most of the day so I'll try to get a fix for this soon for the sake of the card.

May I ask what some of the consequences may be for powering it this way?

I've already contacted them so we'll see if I get a reply. I don't intend to power it this way for long. If I can't find the cords another PSU isn't hard to get.
