I agree. I think it was making contact with the center of thr cpu. You wouldnt have had those temps if it wasnt touchin it.
A good way to check is to put some thermal paste on a clear piece of glass or plastic then put the heatsink on the plastic and push down at the edges of the cooler with a...
Cmon guys, nobody mention the low vtt.
I would raise the vtt to 1.3 or so then raise the ioh and ich to 1.2v.
That should fix your issue. I think this is mostly because of the stress on the memory controller with such a low vtt.
WOW man, the im suprised how badly it killed the sunbeam. Id say overclock it some more. ;)
Submit it to the club when finished.
What camera are you using?
And did you replace the capacitors on your 4850's?
Yes, yellow beard.
He is saying that when you go with higher bclks then you will need faster ram. You wont need anything higher than 1600 though unless you are planning on going over 5ghz.
Sorry, forgot about this thread...
The thing is, the only reason to buy high speed ram is if you are overclocking to a point where the ram would run out of spec unless you had kick ass 2000mhz ram.
It really doesnt effect performance very much at all. I doubt it will even give you a 2 fps...
Your problem is because windows looks at the default multiplier which is x20. CPUz gives you the correct speed.
All the other programs look at what windows says the cpu speed is, so they are all wrong because windows is wrong. ;)
