My benQ monitor is a 60hz but i'm able to overclock it up to 100hz without any artifact, so I don't see what you're trying to say.

What's up with the ASUS VG245H? If I try to set a custom refresh rate higher than 75hz, I lose connection to the hdmi output and the monitor refuses to connect until I set it back to 75hz. What kind of sorcery is this? Is there any way to work around it and let me go higher than 75hz? Monitor...

Oh, I'm just using Task Manager and MSI AfterBurner. Yeah all of my cores are at full load. The i7 6700 is locked so I can't overclock manually but it does overclock automatically to 3.80GHz while I didn't overclock the rtx 2080 yet. I just tought my i7 would last a bit longer, alas I was wrong.

Ok, just did another test, sadly i7-6700 is bottleneck'ing the RTX 2080. CPU load 100% while the GPU load was at 80%. Well there goes another 600$ to spend. idk if my cpu or gpu is unstable but when I did a benchmark on AC the graph was going nuts, going from 80fps to 40fps, up and down.

but when I plugged in my rtx 2080 I had about the same fps, hovering around 45fps
