I'm using it as an ESXi box. Prior to upgrading the BIOS, the ESXi loader wouldn't recognize the drive. After upgrading to F11 it worked fine. Seems like a bug to go to the trouble in the UI to indicate which slots are occupied, and have it not work, but I'm happy as long as it works. Thanks!

Yes. On this power supply and mb the mb and cpu cables are bundled together and the connectors on the mb are adjacent. Should also have mentioned that the cpu cooler fan and lights are working, and the lights on the memory sticks. Graphics card fan as well.

For anyone interested, in the end I couldn't find a 2-port RAID PCIe2 controller with more than one lane. Apparently they were all designed without modern SSDs in mind. I ended up getting a 4-port, 4-lane card instead. Paid about double, $70 v. $35.
