So I was planning on buying a 2060 super (426$) today until I read a post about a new generation coming out resulting in the prices going down or something like that. so I came here for an up-to-date opinion. should I buy it now or wait?

I got a covert from USB to HDMI cable and then used an HDMI male / male and it didn't work, do I have to use the USB-C slot to support the 2nd display or is it a different issue?
