Well if I manually set it to 0 rpm it stops completely, if any increase in speed just makes it more audible.

Everything is plugged into something, now including the 3 hole cable to the CPU_FAN. nothing has changed.

Unsure what to say, because I know for a fact it has never been plugged in since I bought it in 2014... according to other threads I’ve looked at, the cooler should still do it’s thing w/o it plugged in, it just won’t be recognized by bios or software.
