Your cd drive is problematic. Swap it out.

BIOS is looking for a Primary Slave. Make sure your Maxtor is jumpered as Master, AND on the non-colored end of the ribbon cable. Put the colored end into the mobo. The middle connector should be empty. As ryan points out, dvd should always be first in boot priority.

Find out from your mobo specs if you must have matched pairs of ram. Some mobos require that the two slots be filled with equal sticks.
