My computer is also 8 years old

I currently have a computer that can run them but it is overheating when I have the heater on in my room.

I would like the 2 games to run decently on. I am wanting something that will last untill I move out and can save up for the computer I want to get maybe after am5 and ddr5 ram comes out.

Cool I would like to eventually have my hydroponics and aquaponics set up to a pi or similar and use it to gauge nutrients and water level. Is that possible? So far I only have bubble buckets which are a 5 gallon bucket with an airstone.

Because I dont have a working one currently and I dont know how long it will be until I get a new one.

What fps would that build get in 1080p and 1440p? In games like red dead redemption 2 and apex legends and other shooters? And is it hard to overclock it?

It is 8 years old and not really worth apwnding a ton of money on I think tho.

No I haven't the repair shop in town had a 45$ diagnostic fee.

I feel like my budget is not able to do what I want gaming wise and that it would be better to wait tell I move out and can splurge on a computer. I just don't currently have a pc mine is overheating and restarting untill it gets messed up and has to safely restart.

How long untill the price stabilise and would it be worth it to wait for it?

I forgot to mention I like to play dwarf fortress whoch is a single threaded game that is cpu intensive. is that the right word single threaded? It only uses one cpu.
