What were your old specs? Maybe your CPU is getting too hot which causes the bad performance.

80-90 is kinda hot but perfectly safe for that card. The cause could be bad case airflow or a high ambient temperature. Maybe consider getting an extra fan for your case if there's room for it.

That's meant for a push and pull configuration both fans should exhaust air from your case.

Why would you spend 3000$ on a computer with an AMD CPU? AMD currently has no high end CPU offerings to match the i7 you could get on that budget. I guess it would have to be a build with an AMD FX9590, which has a TDP of over 200watts and is still slower than a 4770k.

Your laptop won't display over 60FPS, it's pointless to get past that.

Your system draws from the PSU as much power as it needs, nothing bad will happen for having too much. In fact a PSU is most efficient when it's about 50-60% load so it will run cooler.

If it bothers you just return it while you can, you might regret it when it's too late.

Are you a developer? Oculus Rift DK2 is meant for developers, it's not a consumer product so you can have problems to run many games on it. Anyway a high frame rate is really important for VR to prevent getting motion sick, so I would suggest a stronger GPU since the 7790 is a bit outdated.

Two 780 should last you until Pascal is released, but if you are not in a hurry you should wait to see some 390x/980ti benchmarks before buying another 780.

I would get a 390x/980ti for the extra vram, also a single card runs cooler and has less issues than running a sli setup. You will need to wait for the benchmarks to see if a single 390x/980ti can run Witcher 3 maxed on a 1440p screen though.

The i5 usually performs better than the 8320 in games, so I would go with the Intel build.
