I'll recommend Age of Empires 3. Yes, AOE2 is better in my opinion but it isn't online anymore. If you didn't own it on Xbox and have Vista, I'd recommend Halo 2. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is also a blast if you didn't already play it on PS2/Xbox.

I support Sapphire over Diamond. I've had bad experiences with Diamond such as bogus rebates that nobody gets. Customer support isn't a strong point of them either. While over at Sapphire's side, I've had better results. I'm currently using a X1600XT by them which performs like the competition...
Taking off of what others have said, I overall think that if/how/when physics can be applied to games, it won't really change the gameplay. Sure you could realistically pass a soccer ball to someone or detonate a wall with accurate debris flying everywhere, but that really doesn't change...
