Just used OCCT for power test and GPU stayed around 60 degrees celsius and the CPU stayed around 83 max. I know the GPU temps are fine but the CPU seems to be pushing it a bit close to unsafe temps, however, OCCT power test is a 'worst-case' scenario.

I'm gonna do a quick stress test to see the temps of the GPU with a very light overclock that it can handle while the CPU is also at full load.

I lowered it back to stock and it's fine but I just can't seem to figure out why it can't handle the previous overclock that I had. I used an electric meter to see the power draw of the PC under both CPU and GPU at 100% load, and it was 420 watts, so the PSU isn't a problem.

Hi all. So recently I started up 3D Mark after getting a new CPU cooler and overclocking my CPU only to find out that all of a sudden, my GPU can't handle the clocks that it could before. 3D Mark would just crash at the 2nd Graphics Test straight away. I have no idea why this is happening and...

That honestly makes sense because I'm sure the majority of people that have used that tool would have overclocked their CPU quite a bit which makes mine seem bad since it has no overclock.

SSD does have only 110gb free so I'm not sure if that could be an issue. Temps are normal, they max out at about 75-80 under 100% load with no overclock.

No. A CPU does not have any drivers because the motherboards BIOS deals with all of that stuff for you. So you would install it and boot as usual.

Since the R5 3500x is a newer gen CPU it does have better performance than the R5 2600. Either of them is perfectly fine.
