You have a 1440p monitor there and that 970 is not going to push high end games very well on it for long. I would bank that $200 for a year and save up for Pascal or whatever AMD spits out so you can rock that thing. Another option is to spend another $100 on a 390X which will rock that...

That PSU is not good.

A lot depends on how you present it to Microsoft when you call them and how polite you are.

Check what extensions you have installed in Chrome. It can grow to be a beast.

Looks like a nice build and should work out very well. The only problem I see is the corsair CX PSU. It is really low end and I would not trust it in any gaming build. Check newegg they generally have tier 1 or 2 units for an even better price. Use the PSU tier list in the components forum.

That GPU is pretty weak. If that is all you can afford go for it and start saving for an upgrade.

Sounds like a problem with the PSU power delivery or the MB. Have another PSU you can use for testing? Also did you just disconnect the power to the GPU or did you pull the card? The slot does supply some power. Don't leave the system on without the cooler running. Bad things can happen.

I feel your pain brother. I just build a 5820 rig and am near complete on my second. I already purchased a 6600 but when you hear about some newer AAA titles nearly taxing it out.... Notice how the Banana Republic Generals around here phrase things "Most games will not need more than...."...

The larger an SSD the better the performance. I am sure there is a limit somewhere. Look up the specs on the 850 120/250/500 etc. You will see similar performance differentials.
