80C was a peak temp, normal temps i think are between 60-65C, thermal paste..well im afraid to say this processor has less than 2 months old, thermal paste applied the same day i bought it. Switched from 6700k. similar issue, way worst, would peak at 90+ on almost any game, it didn't matter...

yea, i see, Ryzen have lower overall temps than intel, my other pc has a ryzen 5 1600 and it runs dota 2 at 55C full load, 35-40 idle temps, Should i be worried about my i7 9700k?, it does seem to be a spike, but im kinda worried.
