Bumping this again, I'm having the same issue on a desktop. G3258 @4.4ghz, GTX 760, Win 8.1. I've seen multiple threads on this now but none seem to have an answer.

I've been able to get my G3258 up to 4.2/4.2ghz, but if I go any higher I have the issue where I'll hit the power button, my system will start up fine, but my monitor won't register any input and neither my keyboard or mouse turn on. Here's the thing though, it will occasionally start up, and...

Hmm, in that case it shouldn't be the problem. When you say that it doesn't boot, do you mean it doesn't turn on at all, or it never makes it to the BIOS/UEFI?

I know how big the difference is between a 770 and 780, I also live in Aus. Compared to previous pricing gaps thought, it's a much more reasonable price-performance benefit compared to a couple of months ago. It is possible to wait a bit longer, however I don't see the 780 going down in price...

If it's just AC Revelations it's probably a game glitch. A reinstall of the game might fix it, if not, I don't think there's much you can do.

I would say to up the GPU, but since you already own it it's not really worth it. All of that seems fine, when you have the cash I would recommend getting another 760 for SLI, or selling your current 760 and buying a 780/780ti.
