Go into your actual windows screen resolution settings and change the refresh rate from 60 to 144hz. Same thing happened to me when i got the pg278q i was trippin out

The 24 in. monitor will be much better than the 27 in. At 1080p the 27 will look like garbage, pixel density will be trash and the image will look pretty bad unless you sit far away from where the monitor is placed. Grab the 24 in. model

I have the same monitor and i have 2 980's in sli. I would try and sell the first one and grip 2 980's. You spent a ton for that monitor you have to use it in its full glory.

Keep those cards man. Your running a 1080p monitor, you will never use up to 3.5 gb vram in any game. You wont even get close. If you were running 4k res or maybe even 1440p on some games you might push 3.5 but not at 1080p.
