I have a Z170 Asrock pro 4 motherboard with a i3 6100(dumb I know) and am going to get a I5 6600k here in a few weeks. Can I just take the I3 out and place in the I5 without anything being effected?

Thank you I did not know there were programs I could use on boot up to test the harddrive. Do I just put those programs on a dvd and have the system boot from the dvd drive?

Thanks for the link. I understand what cache is and what it does(to a point) but I want to know..ok example..If im running battlefield 4 and I have a 7200 RPM 8MB cache hard drive..Will it run just fine if I have plenty of memory(8gb 1600) or will it run much better with a 64MB cache?
