[SOLVED] Can i use an 8 ohm receiver for 6 ohm speakers?

Back in the 1990's I built alot of the Maplins UK amp projects & my favourite was the Mosfet one using J50 & SK135 Mosfets, now a day I build all my own Pre Amp & active crossovers & all my volume knobs are actually resister arrays as input sound is from Pc so Up & down volume is set there, my...

[SOLVED] Can i use an 8 ohm receiver for 6 ohm speakers?

What some of you are also forgetting is when an amp jumps from 8 ohms to 4 ohms for example, you are doubling the current needed to power the amps themselves so if the manual says it would cause overheating then it has already been calculated to work at 8 ohms only with transformers only able to...

[SOLVED] Can i use an 8 ohm receiver for 6 ohm speakers?

Most 8 ohm speakers are down around 6.8ohms Use a 2 ohm resister in series with + outputs if you are not sure & want to be on the safe side ? I use resisters on my dual coiled subs to make them 4 ohms instead of 2 ohms so I can use 2 amps to drive 1 X 12" sub safely.

[SOLVED] SATA & M.2 Lane sharing

I you have a M.2_2 in use SATA PORTS (3_5) & (3_6) ports will be disabled but you will still have 4 ports available. So you can use M2_1 & M2_3 without interference to the Sata Ports because it looks like M2_2 goes through the B550 Chipset & M2_1 / M.2_3 go straight to the CPU The manual does...

[SOLVED] Are these normal temperatures for my ryzen 3 2200g?

If there is no fans cooling the rest of the equipment & what normally happens after the first 6 months of an install with no fans temps start to rise even more, it is bad practise not to have at least 2 fans in the case intake/extraction & this is a must in "hot all the time" countries really or...

    Question 5600x or 5800x?

On the other hand for the price of the 5800X you could buy a 3900XT with better multicore performance than a 5600X or 5800X ? You could then wait for prices to drop on the "5" series or wait until the next gen comes out if the mobo supports it of course.

[SOLVED] Would Ryzen 3 3200G thermal throttle at 88 degrees?

The 3200G cooler is only 65 watts so going aftermarket cooler would drop the temps if you went for say 150 watt TDP range of coolers as 88+C is on the high side & stock oem coolers are really a get you working heatsink. When I consider building a gaming PC I never use the stock cooler in fact...
