ASRock support says I need to send the motherboard in to have them update the BIOS. I plan to get another motherboard instead.

I didn't see that in their documentation. I'm not sure what version I was on before I updated so do you recommend I downgrade a few versions and upgrade again with each version?

I pulled the battery and shorted the pins for 3 minutes and it still won't boot.

If I put the old CPU back in it boots fine so wouldn't this be affected also?

I decided to reinstall windows on the new M.2 and that works fine.

The old one was a regular SATA SSD.

I still have my old C drive installed that I cloned the new one from and it boots from that.

I can see the Samsung Evo M.2 drive and can boot from it if I press F11 and select it. I want to set it as the boot drive in the bios so I don't need to select it each time but it doesn't show up as a boot option.
