[SOLVED] Can I screw through an EK CoolStream Classic SE 360 Rad?

Turns out I need 6-32 screws, not M3. Got the correct screws now.

[SOLVED] Can I screw through an EK CoolStream Classic SE 360 Rad?

I wasn't going to support it to the fins. There's a bracket on both sides of the fins. The screw would go through both brackets, the case and the fan. It would just go through the fins, as well.

[SOLVED] Can I screw through an EK CoolStream Classic SE 360 Rad?

I'm trying to install a new radiator in the front of my case, with the fans on the inside in a pull configuration. I was able to install it without issue, but my new layout requires that I mount my pump/res combo to the fan. I picked up an EK Uni Pump 120mm fan mount...

    Question PCIe 4.0 riser

Interesting read. I checked ThermalTake and Lian Li but unfortunately they still only have PCIe 3.0 extenders. Additionally, they are longer than PCIe 4.0 allows (7 inches of PCB Tracing). Here's one I've found but I'm not familiar with the brand -...

    Question PCIe 4.0 riser

Hey all. I'm building a new system, and I'd like to vertically mount my card. I've never bought a riser cable before so I don't know what brands are reliable, if there are quality differences, etc. I'd also like to get one that's PCI-e 4.0; I know my card won't max out a 3.0 slot currently, but...

[SOLVED] Will I get better gaming performance if I upgrade CPU?

Yeah but I upgraded RAM only a few months ago. I'm not swapping it out for faster RAM at this stage. Just curious if upgrading CPU in November, will make any difference to gaming performance at 3440x1440, if I'm not upgrading GPU at the same time.

[SOLVED] Will I get better gaming performance if I upgrade CPU?

Hey, So I have a GTX 1080 with an i7-6700k. I was gaming on a 60hz 2580x1080 monitor. Not sure what my fps in most games were but they were playable. Planning an upgrade of several components but with industry and shipping delays, etc, I'm stuck waiting on parts. I've upgrade my monitor to a...

Question Changing loop. Need assistance with drain port location.

Reviving this thread for a follow up idea. Based on a few different builds I've seen on YouTube, I've noticed some people have the drain near the bottom, but not as the lowest part of the loop. What they did, however, was run a length of soft tubing from the drain that is long enough to hang...

Question Changing loop. Need assistance with drain port location.

I'm not sure where else I could situate the drain port. With a 360mm rad in the front, the base of the rad will basically be against the base of my case. Any suggestions based on this build? Note that the front rad does have a cutout in the shroud at the bottom, and actually goes down to the...

Question Changing loop. Need assistance with drain port location.

Hey all. Here's my current loop. When the RTX 3080's are available, I'll be vertically mounting it, adding the GPU added to the loop, and adding another 360mm Rad with fans in a pull configuration. I found this build, which matches the layout of what my loop will look like (more or less). So...

[SOLVED] Do I need a second Rad for an RTX 30 build?

I went through the radiator excel sheet that I found pinned on these forums, to calculate rad size needed. It suggests that a 360mm should be sufficient at the lowest flow rate (can't figure out what my pump flow rate is so using the worst case scenario). Still curious if I'm going to see any...

[SOLVED] Do I need a second Rad for an RTX 30 build?

Hi All, I'm currently running a custom water cooling loop with a 360 rad, that is only cooling my CPU (i7-6700k). My current GPU (GTX 1080) is air cooled. I will be getting an RTX card (probably 3080, maybe 3090 if the stars align and budgets can be met), and when it finally releases, I may...

[SOLVED] how can I reduce dust in my build?

Yeah there's definitely a dust issue in the environment. I'm moving apartments soon and I'll have a dedicated PC/Gaming room, which will be kept much neater; my current shared location forces me to use the PC room as an everything-room, resulting in just a lot more random stuff in the room and...

[SOLVED] how can I reduce dust in my build?

To clarify, I do have filters on the front. I just thought that filter + rad + fan would do better than just filter + fan, at blocking dust, but you're right, in that the rad isn't a filter; just an additional blockage, hopefully. I'm hoping a combo of moving rad to the front to create more...

[SOLVED] how can I reduce dust in my build?

I think I have negative pressure, due to having more exhaust than intake, however 3 of the exhaust fans are impeded by the rad, so I'm not sure. I have done the "smoke test" and confirmed that air is being pulled in or pushed out of all the right areas. It's not airtight so naturally tiny...
