Is G.skill RipjawsX F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL compatible with Asus M5A97 R2.0? I checked the QVL but there's no R2.0 but just an M5A97 not R2.0. If it's not compatible, what other 8GB RAM would you recommend?

I'll go for the Gigabyte R9 270X OC then. As what you've said, it can hold its boost and the quality is good. I don't have any idea about overclocking, yet I might overclock later if I learned and really know about it.
