Am I being too cheap with my cases? Cheap vs more expensive cases.

It basically comes down to a few of things: - Sufficient cooling in the form of included fans ( which neither of them seem to have, so you'd be paying extra for some, probably 2, so about 10 quid ) - Size to fit your components, ( which seems to be ok in both cases ) - amount of cable routing...

Can you guys help me to understand why my pc freezes while gaming?

The temperature of the CPU should still be ok. There might be some thermal throttling happening, but that shouldn't cause a black screen. The monitor itself shouldn't really impact the power usage other than possibly due to higher resolution requiring the graphics card to be taxed more. The...

AMD 8350 not up to speed

It shouldn't get into trouble @ idle, unless there is a problem with the heatsink mounting, fan or overall airflow ( dust buildup etc )

AMD 8350 not up to speed

Do you experience the same issue with other programs ? In general when something like that happens, it is usually an indication of thermal throttling, and the thermal limits on a 8350 are pretty low in comparison to the more recent AMD CPU's. So at least check thermals, that might always be an...

What is the RAM clearance for this cooler ?

From their web page: " Thanks to the compact dimensions of only 123 mm x 150 mm x 103 mm, there are no restrictions when using RAM modules. Even RAM modules with larger heat sinks can be mounted without any issues and are not blocked by the CPU Cooler. " Freezer 33 eSports Edition And looking...

    PSU Sizing for RTX 2080

TDP was listed around 250W - 285W, naturally it will pull more when fully overclocked especially for custom cards that might take more power. Not knowing your overclocking preferences and general needs of your system, i'd certainly agree to err on the side of caution and go for the higher...

What power supply brand to buy?

Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, those would be my go-to's at the moment. As for a specific model, check out JonnyGuru for reviews on the specific models. If you want to go for a Gold rated model ^ +1 to the Seasonic Focus Gold JonnyGuru review of the Seasonic Focus Gold 550W recommended above...

    PC Parts Compatible?

Generally the 'cheapest' way to go would be to go with a AMD 2200G, a B350 motherboard and a decent DDR4 2x4GB kit. PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kF9v6s Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kF9v6s/by_merchant/ CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz...

    Need help with a GPU

Your psu has 26A on the 12V rail, technically only 456W instead of the advertised 650W. a 660Ti needs 24A / 450W which basically is too much for your PSU, so while it 'may' work for a little bit with a splitter, you are certainly headed for failure very very quickly. Since taking the load of...

    AMD R9 390 No video

Most likely a power supply issue, i had something similar happen on my 6950 a couple of years ago. PSU was going bad and soon after starting anything taxing on the GPU would just black screen. If you have another PSU i'd check on that, and you can get good psu's for 60-75 bucks so much less...

Sapphire R7 260x OC 2Gb fan stops spinning at POST

Most likely it's AMD ZeroCore Power Technology which basically turns off the fan if the device is idle. The fan should start up though once the device gets hot. However if it doesn't turn on when you are gaming or under normal load then there may be some defect or you might need to adjust...

    Need a Router

Pretty much all current ones support Gbit wired connections and any 802.11ac wireless ones will give you wireless connectivity that is beyond the 105Mbit connection on your internet plan. Something like: TP-Link AC1200 at $49.99 Is fast enough to take advantage of your connection speed.

    IPS vs TN information

Well you'd be best off with a Asus ROG Swift PG279Q, it does cost about 800 euros or dollars but it is a 2k 165hz monitor with G-Sync and an IPS style panel probably perfect for your needs. So far there hasn't really been much for 4k gaming displays nor would a single 1080Ti really drive them...

11 degrees increase in idle temperature after 1 year of use.

As pointed above dust is the most likely culprit. Depending on where you keep your pc ( floor, table, shelf ) and if you have carpet or other dust magnets or pets for that matter in the room the temps can easily go up by 10 degrees if the airflow is restricted.
