Thanks. I however I feel I am having heating problems with my PC already (motherboard idles at 66oC) and heard the 390 gets a fair bit hotter than the 970? Dumb question - Would the 390 have any compatibility problems with my intel CPU?

Thanks for the responses. I put my PC into pc partpicker and it comes out at 340W with the current GPU. With a 970 GTX the total does not change and stays around 340W. Is this okay for a 580W PSU?
